MRCPsych Paper A Exam Resource 

Our experienced clinical lead and team of specialist authors have develop our revision resource to mirror the current MRCPsych Paper A exam.

Paper A will be split into two sections: A (i) and A (ii), and both are sat on the same day. Paper A (i) will cover sections 1, 2 and 5 of the syllabus (100 questions, 1.5 hour exam) and Paper A (ii) will cover sections 3 and 4 of the syllabus (100 questions, 1.5 hour exam).

Dr Robert Cornish

Speciality: BMedSci, BMBS, MRCPsych

Rob graduated from Nottingham University in 2005, and completed his training in August 2013. He been working as a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist working for the NHS in Buckinghamshire since then. During his career he’s worked in various secure hospitals (including Broadmoor) as a visiting psychiatrist to a Category A Prison. He has also appeared as an expert witness at Crown Court and for the Parole Board.

Rob has an interest in pre and post graduate medical education, along with psychological interventions (particularly Cognitive Analytic Therapy). He also has research interests in paranoia and virtual reality scenarios, working in collaboration with the University of Oxford.

He was appointed MRCPsych Section Editor for BMJ OnExamination in April 2013. As a Section Editor he is responsible for a team of medical question writers that are experts in their specialty and have extensive knowledge of the exam structure, difficulty and curriculum. Rob will review all the questions and instruct authors on what new questions to write and add to the MRCPsych Paper 1 revision resource. Rob will also answer your queries on questions and respond to the feedback you give us on our questions.
