Originally from Cornwall, Andy graduated from University of Wales College of Medicine (Now Cardiff University) in 2005. He then went on to complete specialty training in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia, passing the FRCA in 2010 and the FICM in 2014.
With a special interest in ultrasound especially echocardiography, Andy completed a PGCert in Point of Care Emergency Ultrasound at Teesside University in 2014. He currently works as an Intensivist in North Wales, Faculty Tutor for the Intensive Care Medicine and ultrasound instructor for FICE and CUSIC.
Andy's top tip for the FICM exam is pace your revision. Initially take your time with the questions, get a feel for how they are written and what they are asking. You can then work on your timings.
