Paediatric Short Cases Part 1

Paediatric Short Cases Part 1

£10.00

The techniques required for coping with paediatric short cases as somewhat different from those for adult patients. The physician has to assemble all the possible clues from a general inspection and then perform a purposeful examination with good humour and speed.

This may have to be done in two or three stages punctuated by brief reassuring chats with the child. For these reasons there are many spot cases selected for the paediatric examination and in this tutorial we show a variety of them together with special methods of approaching the problems.

Dr M Afzal Mir, Senior Lecturer and Consultant Physician, UHW, Cardiff.
