This is the second part of our self assessment modules on PCOS and is designed to complement our part 1 module. As GP’s you will be likely to see many patients presenting with this common condition, yet diagnosis and treatment often poses problems. Often difficulty arises in the accurate interpretation of investigations, awareness of differential diagnoses and also instigation of appropriate therapy.

This module will allow you to:

• Demonstrate increased understanding of the typical presentations of patients with PCOS.
• Test your knowledge of PCOS and understand when to refer to secondary care.
• Understand the appropriate treatment options for various symptoms related to PCOS.
• Deal effectively with the typical questions posed by patients with PCOS.
