Arterial Disease

Arterial disease poses unique clinical problems in practice and this module covers issues of correct diagnosis, therapeutic decisions and when to refer. Practice the rich clinical cases to sharpen your skills in this area which is integral to the GMS contract.

This module will allow you to:

• Understand the diagnosis of peripheral vascular disease and interpretation of the Ankle Brachial Pressure Index (ABPI)
• Increase your awareness of the appropriateness of referral for specific vascular conditions.
• Increase your knowledge of investigation and treatment of arterial diseases including peripheral vascular disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm and carotid disease.
