Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists (SCP)

Accredited Online CPD: Provided by BMJ onExamination

The Society's new e-learning system, provided by onExamination, offers a series of CPD modules, available online. Written by expert authors from the Society's Faculty of Podiatric Medicine and General Practice, the 10 modules (see list below) provide 20 hours of CPD, that's two thirds of the Society's recommended yearly CPD provision.

Debra Barlett-Browne, CPD Officer at the SCP, stated, "We believe this is the most helpful CPD resource available, members are now able to access modules on a range of clinical subjects from the comfort of their homes and at a reduced rate, with allotted time to write up reflective notes."

How it Works

The modules have been specifically designed to be easy and practical for you to use. Case history questions assess your understanding of a particular subject area and detailed explanations provided will improve your overall knowledge. Your own online journal allows you to record your learning experiences which can then be printed along with a certificate, signed by the Society's Chief Executive Joanna Brown. This will then form part of your bank of evidence to present to the HPC should you be audited.
