Niall Aston is a Consultant Surgeon at South London Healthcare Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer (Teaching) at King's College London School of Medicine. His main surgical interests are in vascular and paediatric surgery. He is Divisional Director of Medical Education for the Trust and is a member of the Foundation and Simulation faculties. He is also an MRCS examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and mentor for the London Deanery. His other interests are mainly aspirational as much of his spare time is taken up by the transportation of four children to and from a variety of sporting and musical venues.

In 2008 Niall was appointed to the role of Surgery Section Editor. As a Section Editor he is responsible for a team of medical question writers that are experts in their specialty and have extensive knowledge of the exam structure, difficulty and curriculum. Niall will review all the questions and instruct authors on what new questions to write and add to the surgery revision resources. Niall will also answer your queries on questions and respond to the feedback you give us on our questions.
